What aerospace work demands

Aerospace parts fail audits more often than they fail in service, and both failures come from the same root: incomplete records. Our aerospace routing captures material certificate, heat lot, operator, machine, programme revision, tool life and inspection data for every serial number, retained for a minimum of ten years.

Material control

7075-T651, 2024-T351, 6061-T6, Ti-6Al-4V, 15-5PH, 17-4PH and Inconel 718 are purchased from mills with EN 10204 3.1 certification and stored under lot segregation. Material is verified by positive material identification (PMI) where the customer specification requires it.

Process specialities

• Thin-wall pocket machining with staged stress relief to control post-machining distortion
• Chemical conversion coating to MIL-DTL-5541 Type I/II and anodising to MIL-A-8625 Type II/III
• NAS 410 penetrant inspection through qualified partners
• Special process control with frozen parameters and requalification on change

Inspection and first article

First-article inspection follows the AS9102 format: Form 1 part accountability, Form 2 product accountability for raw material and special processes, Form 3 characteristic accountability with a measured value for every ballooned dimension. Reports are issued as PDF and, where you use a supplier portal, in your template.

Confidentiality

Defence-related geometry is handled under NDA with access limited to named personnel. Files are never transferred to third-party subcontractors without written approval, and we will decline work we cannot handle inside our own walls.
